Appointments
Sessions are generally scheduled for 60 minutes, unless we have agreed to a different appointment length in advance. Appointments are scheduled and managed through Acutoronto’s booking system.
Late Arrivals, Cancelling/Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments
The information below explains what to do if you’re running late, need to cancel or reschedule, or miss an appointment, including when a fee may apply. If you’re unsure what applies to your situation, select the option below for more information. Please note that rescheduling is treated the same as a cancellation.
I will waive the fee up to once per year in the case of an emergency. An emergency is an unexpected and serious circumstance that could not have been anticipated or avoided and that requires your attention. Examples may include a sudden medical emergency, hospitalization, a serious accident, or an immediate safety situation involving you or someone in your care. Routine scheduling conflicts, forgetting an appointment, work difficulties, or other circumstances that could reasonably have been planned for would not be considered emergencies.

If I have not heard from you by 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, I will assume that you are unable to attend and will end the appointment, treating it as a no-show, which incurs the 50% session fee.
If you provide me notice within the first 15 minutes of your appointment time, we will make do with the time we have but will still usually have to end on time out of respect for the subsequent appointments that day.

If you miss an appointment, please contact me when you are able. There is no need to feel embarrassed or worry that you cannot return after missing an appointment. We can simply reconnect and figure out what works from there.
Fees & Payment
The fee for psychotherapy is $85 per 60-minute session. Payment is due at the time of your appointment and is processed through the clinic's payment system.
Additional Time
If you request a session longer than the standard appointment length, the applicable fee will be adjusted accordingly.
Changes to Fees
Fees may change from time to time. If I change my session fee, I will provide reasonable advance notice before the new fee takes effect.
